10 month old mixed baby hair care question?
hi i have a 10 month old daughter. her father is white and i am black. well my daughters hair is more on the curly side but its really fine. i used some of my natural hair shampoo in her hair and her dad got mad at me but reading the ingredients on the baby shampoo and the natural shampoo , my shampo had less chemicals and more natural stuff so i figured no harm. he would not let me use my conditioner. Now i am new at this parenting thing not to mention i have no idea how to take care of mixed hair. my husband made me feel like the worst mother in the world, someone please tell me how to take care of mixed hair. if i should just stick to baby shampo then please tell me how to take care of her hair in the future. again her hair is on the loose,curly,fine,side. please dont say mean things my husband allready made me feel bad enough

how to take care of a mixed babies hair?
My daughter has crazy hair!! Im white and her dad is black and puerto rican. to start off shes 2 and has really curly hair. the back of her hair is african american type hair and the top is white people hair. so do i grease it or what lol???

my daughter is mixed black white i wash her hair every other day and when she is in the bath i brush it out with cream rinse and put ALOT of moisturizer in it…at night i wash it and braid it into six braids and it is alot easier to manage in the morning

How to care for a mixed childs hair?
I am pregnant with my second child and he or she will be half black. I know that mixed people have a hair type all their own not exactly like a white person or black person but somewhere in between. I want to hear from parents of mixed children what do you do that might be different to take care of your babies hair and when it is time for a little product what kinds keep it healthiest and looking good.

My son is half black half Mexican and he has gorgeous hair. His hair is gently curly not tight curls or “nappy”. After I give him a bath i usually just put a little bit of Vaseline in my hands and just massage it in his hair. Then in the morning or whenever I use a detangler and just comb thru his hair. Sometimes if i don’t have any Vaseline around i use baby lotion just to moisturize his hair. I looked online for mixed baby hair products and found a product line called Curls or Curlz and bought a product for babies called ItsACurl. It’s like a natural oil that adds shine a moisture, its works pretty good i guess. But every mixed baby is different I hope you get a good batch of hair : )

How to care for biracial baby hair? Help!?
I had a mixed baby in April he is now 5 months old, but his hair is starting to get nappy in the back, and gets knotted easy. Is there any special products/techniques I can use to care for his hair? Please help, my poor baby is getting knotty hair, and as a causcasion mother I’m not familiar caring for this type of hair.

Use a GENTLE shampoo, finger comb is best. There are baby shampoos, just try to make sure to wide off their eyes GOING DOWN from their forehead, quickly, to avoid getting suds or water on their eyes. They HATE THAT! My 3 years old grand baby, hated that. Use a conditioner, if you have to, but I have a feeling your baby’s hair gets knotty because they’re wavy, but I do not suggest trying to untangle them when they’re wet, they are more difficult. Wait until they’re towel dried or air dried. I don’t even brush my very, very long hair until they’re 95% dried.

When they have a bubble bath, getting the suds from the tub water, is fine too, just make sure you rinse well after.

They are all formulated for fine baby’s hair, of ANY RACE.

im pregnant with my precious son who is mixed with my white and spanish and whose daddy is black and cuban…so im curious about how to deal with mixed hair expecially for babies since ive only have experience with my straight hair..

…like what products to use, how early to start them, how to brush and or style (im having a little boy so im sure there wont be as much to deal with had it been a little girl but i know that mixed boys hair still needs special care)

my daughter is black/white, she has a curly afro. i put in tea tree oil & brush it. i wash it maybe twice a week (a baby’s hair does not get dirty), it will get dry if you wash it too much. she did have cradle cap & it went away after i stopped washing it so much, DO NOT USE BABY OIL! go to the ethnic section & get oil from there.
