Baby towels prices – Baby towels
How much did you spend on these items for baby?
I need to buy some items for the baby before she/he comes and I was wondering what others spent on these items so I could know if I am getting a good deal or spending way too much. I am shopping around and haven’t purchased anything yet, but any advice and what you spent would be helpful.
nursery furniture, bedding & decor
large items like carseat, stroller, pack’n'play, swing, highchair
diaper bag, bouncy seat, playmat
bottles, diapers to start, wipes to start, soaps to start
tub, towels, washcloths
clothes, and everything else
I have a list here that a friend has helped me compile and after going online and around to stores to price things I come up with a total cost of about $3000. That seems like alot to me, but I have it to spend I just want to make sure I am not crazy. LOL
No rude answers please. I am a first time Mom and need advice.
Yes I spent around the same.. plus we had some things already from family members!

Can someone give me a basic baby checklist and tell me what else I need for newborn?
I need a checklist of just essentials I’m going to need for my newborn comming soon. Honestly, I’ve been lagging on buying baby stuff, mostly because I don’t want a lot of clothes laying around and wish to wait ’til the baby is born to buy specific gender clothes. This is my second baby in two years, so I have an idea of what is most needed for newborns, but I’d like some help on things I might have forgotten.
So far I have
Two small boxes of Huggies Newborn diapers
3pk Vent Aire Bottles
2pk A-Vent Bottles
Newborn pacifier
3-6m pacifier
New bobby pillow
1 3pk of newborn shirts with the mitten cuff
2 5pks of 5-8lbs onsies
2 5pks of 8-10lbs(I think) onsies
New baby bath and foam pad
2 baby hooded towels
4 baby washcloths
Basic baby safety kit(nose sucker/thermometer/clippers/etc)
Crib
2 new crib sheets
1 4pk of recieving blankets
New travel size swing
Bottles rack(orginally my son’s)
What I know I need
Baby bath soap
Baby washing soap
Wipes!!
Blankets
Bottle brush
Latex nipples for bottles
Formula(if I don’t breastfeed)
Baby mittens
Newborn pants
Bouncer
Crib mobile
Playyard
More recieving blankets/towels/newborn shirts
Basically it, I plan on buying clothes and toys as the baby grows because I know they don’t need much as newborns but the basics.
Is there anything else I need to buy before the baby comes? I know I need to stock up on wipes and diapers and I will, these are the things I basically have right now and will get more later.
Oh yes, I know I forgot SOCKS!! How many packs do I need to buy??
Also, I wasn’t planning on having another baby for years, so I ended up giving away most of my son’s old bouncers/walker and stuff to charity before I found out I was expecting ^.^ good thing I kept the strollar and carseat :)
how about a car seat & stroller

Where can i get dry disposable washcloths for my newborn baby?
My hospital provided dry washcloths for diaper changes. but cant figure out where can i get it.
I have no clue either. Try asking the hospital. I mean, I have a recipe for homemade baby wipes using only simple ingredients and paper towels. If you want it e-mail at jtapc101290@yahoo.com or just Google it, something should come up.

How to wash baby clothes, towels, linens, and other baby items?
I was wondering about washing baby clothes, towels, linens and other baby items. It would be super helpful if someone can give me a complete rundown of washing and drying all machine washable baby items (car seat cover, bouncer cover, fabric books and toys, etc) and then baby clothes, towels and linens. Such as what detergent, what water temperature setting, what washer setting, what dryer setting, what things shouldn’t be washed together? Can I wash burp clothes, towels and linens together or will that irritate her? How should I wash everything for the first time, and then how should I wash everything regular basis?
Also, does anyone know where to get those mesh bags for putting baby socks, booties and mittens in so they don’t get lost in the washer/dryer?
A few more questions: Is adding a 1/2 cup of vinegar to the first wash of baby clothes a good idea? Dryer sheets and fabric softeners are a definite no, correct? Are there ways to avoid shrinkage or damage?
Like I said, a complete rundown of everything would be much appreciated, and any washing and drying tips would be great! Thanks in advance. =)
Honestly, I don’t wash my son’s clothes any differently than I wash mine and my husband’s clothes! In the beginning I decided to wash everything normally and together to see what happened. I was fully prepared to begin separating, using Dreft, no dryer sheets, etc. should the need arise but my son had no problems. He has no rashes or allergies to anything so far. I have a laundry basket in his room that we put everything in (clothes, burp cloths, blankets, etc.). When it gets full I dump it in the washer, put in the Gain, and wash it. When it’s done I put it in the dryer, add a dryer sheet and dry it. I have no problems doing anything special to his items if an irritation arises but if I don’t need to, I am not going to make extra work for myself. I am a working mom and want to spend all of my time when home with my son.
Baby Washcloths receiving blankets – Baby Washcloths
Hi ladies! I need help with a list of baby items! What all do I need for a newborn and how much of each item?
Here’s what I have so far.
Numerous onesies~~both short sleeved and long sleeved since baby will be born during an unpredictable ND April!
Sleepers (newborn through 3 months)
Comfy pants and hoodies for outings
Other clothing such as pants, jeans, bibs, hats, etc
22-25 pairs of baby socks
7 or so hooded towels
20 baby washcloths
16 receiving blankets
2 light fleece blankets
Crib, mattress and crib bedding, though only one sheet right now. How many do I need?
Bassinet for travel
Pack and play
Swing
Bouncer
High chair
Jumper
Playtex nursers (I used those with both of my kids and love those! I need to buy the liners and drop ins though).
I have one large box of newborn diapers, 2 mega packs of size 1 diapers, 4 tubs of wipes and one 5-pack of wipes refills.
I do plan to breast-feed for as long as I can and I have a nursing cover and breast pump too.
All I can think that I need to buy still is the bath-tub, baby meds, baby grooming kit with shampoo & body wash. Is there anything you can think of that I’m missing or that would come in useful even if not totally necessary? I’m drawing a blank here!
Like I said I already have 2 kids but haven’t bought any baby stuff in 7 years so I have forgotten a lot! I’m 27 weeks today with #3 and just making sure that I’m not leaving anything until the last minute!
Thanks for your help ladies!
Please only answer if you have kids and experience!
Oh yeah! I do have 2 travel systems too!
I’ve gotten a lot of things in multipacks so I can’t really help how many I have~~plus babies go through items quickly if I remember right.
Anyway, I have no plans to use pacifiers as they really didn’t work for my other kids at all.
Cpt. M~I should really clear this up. Some of the items wear given to me, so I have no control over how many I’m given. I’m sure I won’t use all of my wash-cloths either so I might pass some of them on to others I know. The socks were bought in a lot of 22 new on ebay for an incredible deal~the same with the receiving blankets, and cost less than one pack at the stores so I couldn’t pass them up!
I’m not a lady but I’ve just had a baby girl!
I found this baby list very useful: http://www.newbabylist.com/newbornchecklist/
Good luck!
