How can I treat my 1 month old baby terrible heat rash?
My 1 month old has a terrible seeping heat rash on his face and head. He has some on his body but its not as bad. My friend told me add a tablespoon of baking soda to his bath. Its dried it out but now his skin is tight and dry. Anyone else have recommendations. What kind of lotion can I put on his face?

go to the health nurse and ask . try not to let him get too warm , it might be eczema and need special care

will aloevera help my skin be smooth again?
Okay, so I have really clear skin. But a few days ago, I went to disneyland (in Japan) and it was really hot! You know, waiting in the line for the rides and all that…also I didn’t put much sunscreen on! Okay, let me get to the point. SO I’m tanned alot and even my scalp is tanned red! AND my face is dried…there’s some white stuff…I put Johnson’s Baby Lotion on and it kind of healed…but not exactly. Now, I want to try aloevera…the raw one..the one my mom planted in the garden and just rub it on my face!
Will it help make my skin smooth again??

Am I the only one who uses Baby Lotion?
I don’t know anybody but myself that uses it on themselves not there babies but yall should try it. Its the best stuff I’ve tried so far.

Can you put baby lotion on your face and prevent wrinkles?

Nope! You wanna prevent wrinkles? Sleep on a satin or a silk pillowcase. Cotton whisks away moisture which is why we wear cotton underwear (some of us at least!)

At what age can you use baby lotion?
My son is 15 weeks old. I’ve used the regular johnsons baby lotion on him before and he was fine. The other day I tried the night time lotion that is supposed to make them sleepy. he broke out in a full body rash! I called his Dr and she said he should be fine but not to use the lotion anymore (DUH!!!) When can I use lotion on him? Should I wait until he is 6 months like you do with sunscreen?

Because I have sensitive skin, we decided from the get-go not to use the Johnsons stuff on our daughter, just in case she got my crappy skin, because we found it pretty harsh. We use an Aveeno calming and soothing lotion which has been great. I think they can have lotion early, just not on their face. And you can definitely put sunscreen on him. Again, we use the Aveeno stuff. It’s a bit more expensive, but worth it in the end.

Using baby lotion on babies 0-12 months?
Is it really safe to use baby lotion on babies 0-12 months?

My son is 3 months friday (tomorrow) and he has dry patches on his face, i use some Aveeno baby lotion for dry skin but on the back of that it says keep out of reach of children and if ingested call poison control. Not to mention the regular Johnson and Johnson baby lotion i use on his body says keep out of reach of children. Is this really safe to use on a baby if it is not safe for them to ingest?

My son already tries to put everything in his mouth imagine when he’s crawling… How safe can the baby product be if it says that?

there are plenty of things that we use everyday with the same warning. if you ingest too much toothpaste it can be bad, which is why there’s a warning on it. but we are expected to put it in our mouths, and occasionally ingest some of it.

lotions are fine to put on your baby. they tell you to keep them away from the baby because if they ingest large amounts of it, that’s when problems arise. so, unless you are squeezing the lotion into their mouths like chocolate syrup and NOT applying it like lotion is normally applied, it’s fine. i don’t even know what we would have done without it because our daughter had dry skin, too, and lotion was always used. SHe was also constantly chewing her hands and still does- never a single issue.

Do you know the recipe for old fashioned laundry paste to use for baby clothes?
Its what every woman in my family has used since… forever
But no one wrote down the exact recipe and cannot remember the exact measurements.

Its the recipe where you use sunlight soap and hot water to make a paste and then use that paste to wash baby clothes.

I need to know the exact recipe to make it and also how much to use when doing a load of baby’s washing.

What do you mean ‘paste’? The only recipes I’ve ever come across are either for powder or liquid soap. Since you mention hot water, I guess you mean it’s a liquid recipe. You can use any sort of soap you want to make any of the recipes…so it’s hard to say which one your family used. If I were you, I’d just search around on the internet or something until you find one that sounds right. The most simple recipe I can remember finding, uses 2.5 gallons of hot water, 1 bar of soap (they make a Sunlight bar), and 1 cup of washing soda. (I don’t know if you’d like it scented, but a few drops of any essential oil usually does the trick.) Standard goes for that sort of recipe…1/2c per load of laundry.

Is Johnson’s baby soap good for the skin?
I’m recently using Johnson’s pure essenials baby soap (the green one) for my face but I don’t know if the results to my skin will be good or will I break-out with some pimples. Anyone who has tried it on their skin?

try it for a week
if you get red bumps stop
but if nothing happen keep using it
until a month see if your face gets more clear
