Where can i get dry disposable washcloths for my newborn baby?
My hospital provided dry washcloths for diaper changes. but cant figure out where can i get it.
I have no clue either. Try asking the hospital. I mean, I have a recipe for homemade baby wipes using only simple ingredients and paper towels. If you want it e-mail at jtapc101290@yahoo.com or just Google it, something should come up.
Disposable baby washcloths?
Who here has used disposable baby washcloths before? Are they any good? Is it better to use these or a regular washcloth? Or do you use them both together? Like use a regular washcloth first and then use the disposable wash cloth.
I recieved some for my babyshower, and I’m not exactly sure how good they are if used by themself. I don’t know of anyone else who has used them before either.
I have some disposables, and they work just fine. I just prefer using a washcloth because it’s what I’m used to. The disposable ones work just as well, it’s just something new to adjust to.
pre-soaped disposable baby washcloths?
Does anyone know why you cannot buy the huggies natural care washcloths or the johnson’s baby washcloths anymore? I went to babies r us and target and they are out and won’t be ordering anymore…. then i went online and i typed in my zip code and nowhere in a 30mile radius is selling these. Did they get recalled? Does anyone know what’s going on or where to buy these?
i wanted them for vacation, i dont use them in a day to day bath time for my daughter
I know! I was so upset to see these gone! I used to take them camping with us… super easy to wash their dirty feet before bed after a day at the beach or whatnot.
I think people just thought they were too expensive (they were) for everyday use KWIM?
Where can I buy some excellent quality (soft, gentle) baby washcloths?
I live in Northern California.
Thanks!
I like Carters Brand.
Not carters child of mine, but Carters.
You can get them at a lotta different places, just type them in Google…
Also Mervyns, JcPenneys, KidsRus…
What can I use as a baby moisturizer that’s not oily?
I am having so much trouble making my own baby wipes! I’m using baby washcloths and spraying them with a cleansing solution. The original plan was to use baby oil and baby wash, but I fear the oil will hinder the absorbency of ALL my cloth diapers (wipes will be laundered with diapers). I’ve tried Lanolin, too, but it’s extremely oily also. Would olive oil work? I know it’s fine to use on my baby, but will it come out of everything in the wash?
Any oil is going to be oily and will leave oil stains… and will also eventually turn rancid and leave your cloths and diapers stinking. You really don’t need much more than water to clean a baby (figure you use dry paper on yourself) if you want to add a bit of baby wash then follow up with a baby lotion for moisturizing if that’s important… if baby has a rash use A&D zinc cream.
Cloth Baby Wipes? Washcloths?
I’ve been using paper towels and clean water to wipe my baby, but I’m now seeing that cloth wipes may be a lot cheaper, and better for the environment.
So what do you recommend? How do you wash them? The thought of putting a messy washcloth in the hamper with our dirty clothes is awful, so do I keep a separate hamper for the wipes?
Any suggestions on what kind of cloths to use? Just soft washcloths?
Hmm. Maybe I could just use cloth for the wet diapers, and continue using paper towels for poopy diapers. Hmmm.
Thank you for the help!
Actually, wet paper towels are just as soft as wipes, and they don’t have any chemicals on them. Once a day I wash her bottom with baby wash. The paper towels are much cheaper than wipes, and I don’t have to worry about chemicals.
I use the cheap baby washcloths you can get at any department store. They’re just the right size, and they have a smooth side, which is very gentle on baby skin. And, since I run the cloth under warm water just before a diaper change, the baby always has nice warm wipes.
Unless the wipe is really poopy, I don’t worry about rinsing it; it comes out in the wash.
I toss them, and my cloth diapers, in a garbage pail with a tight-fitting pop-up lid and wash them every 2-3 days. A cold rinse first, then hot water with regular detergent (use about half the recommended amount to avoid soap build-up in diapers, which can get really stinky), and an extra rinse will get them good and clean.
If you’re only using the washcloths for wet diapers and you’re not using cloth diapers — toss them in with your regular towel load. Pee is basically sterile, and there will hardly be any on the washcloth anyway. (I keep a bucket in the laundry room just for washcloths and hand towels. To keep them from getting stinky, I hang them over the side of the bucket to dry, then drop them in. When the bucket is full, it’s time to wash a load of towels.)
